It’s that time of the year again. My son Jack is about to turn 9 and he has asked for a Ten Pin Bowling party with just his closest friends.
For a few years now, I have enjoyed designing a party invitation for him to give out at school. This year I went for a typographical approach to the invitation. I used only one font family, Univers. It comes in many different weights from bold to light to condensed so I made use of a few. I stuck with one colour and black for simplicity, and I also used a paint chip style design on the left side to balance the text. Printed on A4 heavy weight card and trimmed to A5.
